Robert W. 'Bob' Hollerman
Robert W. "Bob" Hollerman, 86, of Harmony, formerly of New Brighton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday at UPMC Passavant hospital in McCandless Township.
Born March 5, 1918, in Middle Lancaster, he was the son of William and Nellie Belle Moyer Hollerman.
He was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Middle Lancaster, where he was head usher for 26 years and chairman of the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery Association.
He was a retired police captain with the Pennsylvania Railroad and a member of the Masonic Lodge in the Beaver Valley. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, an avid hunter and fisherman and a skilled carpenter.
Mr. Hollerman is survived by a daughter, Sandy Mandeville and her husband, John, of Charlotte, N.C.; three grandchildren, Sarah Mandeville of Oklahoma City, John Mandeville and his wife, Tiffany, of Russell, Warren County, and Robert "Bob" Mandeville of Warren; and a great-granddaughter, Madison Mandeville.
He is survived by in-laws, Blaine and Betty Shidemantle, Doris Schott, Hazel White, Margaret Schott, Helen Schott, Irene Schott and Dave Gibson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Jessie Schott Hollerman, who died Nov. 19, 1994, and a sister, Ruth Kress.
HOLLERMAN - Friends of Robert W. "Bob" Hollerman, who died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Highway (Route 19), Middle Lancaster. The Rev. Peggy Suhr-Barkley will officiate. Everyone is asked to meet at the church.
