Barbara Dally

Dally

Barbara Rae (Metz) Dally, 69, of Forward Township, passed away on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023.

Born Dec. 21, 1953, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Ruth Ann (Kristophel) Metz of Harmony.

As a young girl she developed a lifelong love of reading and in high school met the other love of her life, Dayne L. Dally. Married on July 15, 1972, they spent 51 years together enjoying gardening, antiquing, playing cards and mostly each other’s company.

Barb also enjoyed crocheting, baking and cooking, especially for picnics to celebrate family events, which often included their many friends and neighbors. For a time, Barb was the proprietor of Barb’s Country Corner, a decorative ceramics shop, where she offered painting lessons and sold finished pieces. She also worked as a teller for Citizens National Bank of Evans City for many years.

Barb is survived by her husband, Dayne; and her children, Bryan R. (Stephanie) Dally of Renfrew, Bradley A. (Melissa) of Woolrich, Pa. and Kara E. (Lt. Col. Nate) Patton of Southern Pines, N.C. Also surviving are the later loves of her life, her grandchildren, Ayden, Natalie, Josalyn, Evelyn, Ansley and Asher. In addition, she is also survived by her Aunt Peg (Kristophel) Pratt of Florida; her sister-in-law, Karen (Larry) Martino of Zelienople; her nephews, Alan Martino of Ellwood City and Aaron (Jen) Martino of Harmony; and many cousins. She also will be sorely missed by her Boston terrier, Lucy.

DALLY — A memorial service for Barbara Rae (Metz) Dally, who died Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, will be scheduled at a later date.

Gifts can be made to the Evans City Public Library or the Butler County Humane Society in honor of Barb’s life.
