Earl T. "Buddy" Denton Jr., 73, formerly of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at Mainline Nursing Center, Malvern, Chester County.

Born in Butler, Nov. 16, 1930, he was the son of and Mabel E. Emery Denton and the late Earl T. Denton.

He was a 1948 alumnus of Butler High School and had been a food service manager for various companies.

He is survived by his mother of Philadelphia; two sisters, Mrs. William S. (Lucille) Titus of Syosset, Long Island, N.Y., and Mrs. William A. (Dawn) Sanders of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; a brother, Joseph L. Denton of Lansdale, Montgomery County; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at North Washington Cemetery.
