Curtis Lee Anderson
Curtis Lee Anderson, 43, of Slippery Rock passed away at his home on Friday evening.
Curtis was born in New Castle on Oct. 8, 1971, to Myrna Faye McKissick-Anderson-Young and Donald Laverne Anderson. He married Trish Elizabeth Miller on April 27, 2002.
Curtis was a graduate of Wilmington Area High School in 1990 and later earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University. He was a self-employed dairy farmer and also drove truck for McClymonds Trucking of Portersville.
Curtis enjoyed supporting his son at baseball games and was looking forward to seeing his daughter cheer. Curtis loved spending time with family, going to races and tractor pulls, camping and planting and watching the annual harvest of crops.
Survivors include his wife, Trish Anderson of their home; one daughter, Ella Mae Anderson, age 10; one son, Cody Lee Anderson, age 8; his mother and stepfather, Joe and Myrna Young of Washington Township, Lawrence County; two brothers, Patrick Anderson and his wife, Melinda, of New Wilmington and Samuel Anderson and his wife, Crystal, of Elverson, Pa.; his mother and father-in-law, Randy and Debbie Miller of Volant; his sister and brother-in-law, Loni and William Lewis of New Castle; and nieces and nephews, William, Bethany, Kyla and Livia Anderson and Trey Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his father; two infant brothers; and his grandparents, W.C. and Norma McKissick, and Curtis and Esther Anderson.
ANDERSON — Visitation for Curtis Lee Anderson, who died Friday, July 17, 2015, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington. An additional visitation will take place on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the New Life Baptist Church, Route 208, New Wilmington. The Rev. Greg Marshall of the New Life Baptist Church and the Rev. F. Stanley Keehlwetter of Plain Grove Presbyterian Church will officiate.Interment will follow at North Plain Grove Cemetery, Plain Grove.Memorial contributions may be sent to the Wilmington Area High School Future Farmers of America, 400 Wood St., New Wilmington, PA 16142.
