MSA receives $3.1 million contract award
Cranberry Township-based safety equipment manufacturer MSA Safety was awarded a $3.1 million contract by the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire, the company announced Wednesday, Sept. 27.
The bureau selected MSA’s respiratory protective equipment and will be upgrading its self-contained breathing apparatus as part of the contract.
According to a news release, the technology that powers the equipment is developed in Cranberry Township, while the units are manufactured and assembled at the company’s Murrysville facility.
