As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Cranberry Township employees are participating in several initiatives.

Township employees will be encouraged to pledge an amount of their choosing to wear pink on Wednesday, Oct. 18, with proceeds benefiting a local breast cancer charity, Cranberry’s communication team said.

Throughout October, the Municipal Center on 2525 Rochester Road will be illuminated pink and first responders will wear pink bands on their badges in solidarity.

Township leaders will also meet with leaders from UPMC to discuss the importance of cancer awareness.

Events that mark Breast Cancer Awareness will be highlighted on Cranberry Township's social media pages.
