Francis W. Clark
Francis Wayne Clark, 83, of Filbert Road died at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 7, 1923, in Butler, he was the son of John Clark and Edna Wolfe.
Mr. Clark was the owner and operator of the Wayne Clark General Contracting Co. until 1992. He was a member of the North Main Street Church of God.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp., serving in World War II. He also enjoyed gardening.
Mr. Clark is survived by his second wife, Cleo Clark, whom he married on Oct. 9, 2004; a son, Wayne Clark and his wife, Cindy, of Butler; three daughters and their husbands, Georgetta and Alan Reesman of Slippery Rock, Denise and Donald Guiher of Prospect, and Ginger and Michael Dowell of Butler; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Miller of East Butler; a brother, John D. Clark of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy P. Bitting Clark, who died on Dec. 12, 1995, and by two brothers.
<B>CLARK</B> — Friends of Francis Wayne Clark, who died Monday, June 19, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the<B> Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler.Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. David Brown, of the North Main Street Church Of God, officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler County Memorial Park.
