In the letters to the editor section, the Butler Eagle will be observing a two-week “quiet period” before the Nov. 7 election. Letters regarding the election must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at the Eagle office and will be published no later than Oct. 23.

We ask that letters be signed and include your municipality and phone number so that we can verify them. Writers will be limited to one submission per month.

The Butler Eagle reserves the right to edit letters.
