BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will have special music by Gordon Thompson Sunday.

The church will receive new members during the Sunday worship service.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

The red church offering taken Sunday at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will benefit the First English Lutheran Church community dinner.

Both Sunday worship services will celebrate stewardship.

The confirmation class will meet at 5 p.m. Sunday.

The men’s breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Monday at Kings Restaurant, 191 New Castle Road.

The trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The newsletter deadline is Wednesday.

CHRIST OUTREACH CHURCH

Christ Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., is accepting reservations for a catered holiday dinner after the Dec. 11 morning services. To make reservations, call the church office at 724-283-8407 by Dec. 4.

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will observe pledge dedication Sunday and worshippers can bring their pledge cards forward during the service.

The “fish coin boxes” for the Refreshing Springs Ministry in Aliquippa will be collected and dedicated Sunday.

Sunday is the deadline to bring Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to the church.

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH

Teens from First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will participate in the Word of Life’s Reverb event Friday. For more information, call the church at724-287-7241.

The Sunday schedule will include a Sunday school, a morning service, luncheon and a 1 p.m. service.

The Women’s Missionary Fellowship meeting will be at 6 p.m. Monday in the Baptist Youth Center.

FIRST BAPTIST OF EVANS CITY

The youths of First Baptist Church of Evans City, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City, will leave Friday for Word of Life’s Reverb event.

Those who served on the mission trip to Guatemala will share their experience during the luncheon immediately following the morning worship service Sunday.

Members of the BLAST children’s program will host their first Thanksgiving dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., has started the annual Christmas charities drive to collect money for the Glade Run Christmas Angel Program.

Baked donations for Meals on Wheels should be delivered Sunday. They should be wrapped, labeled and in disposable pans.

The senior choir will rehearse at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday instead of the regular Thursday practice.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

The fellowship and service committee of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will meet at 10 a.m. Friday in the ladies’ lounge.

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 17.

The deadline for the December newsletter is Tuesday.

The church council will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

HIGHLAND PRESBYTERIAN

Stewardship Sunday will be this week at Highland Presbyterian Church, 310 Franklin Street, Slippery Rock. Pledge cards and Christmas shoeboxes will be collected and dedicated. The annual stewardship luncheon will follow the service.

The women’s book club will meet at 9:45 a.m. Saturday.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The stewardship committee will host a luncheon following the consecration Sunday worship at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

The chancel choir will rehearse at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The Covenant Cupboard food request for November is rice and beans.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The stewardship committee of Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will meet in the church office at 7:15 p.m. today.

Middle school youths will leave for Laurelville at 6 p.m. Friday.

There will be a meet-and-greet at 4 p.m. Saturday to visit with the guest minister.

There will be a single 11 a.m. worship service Sunday with a congregation meeting afterward.

The women’s Bible study will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

The chancel choir will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday to start rehearsals for Advent.

MERIDIAN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., will have the annual congregational meeting after morning Sunday worship. Packets will be available for pickup in the church library.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Cantata choir practice will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars. There is still time to join.

The church will receive eight new members Sunday during worship.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Dinner with Friends, a group of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 19 at Domenico’s, 20550 Route 19, Cranberry Township. To make reservations, contact Susan Moon.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, will have a church council meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The community Thanksgiving service will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 23.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will have Sunday school at 8:45 a.m. and one worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. The annual meeting will begin after the service.

The sanctuary choir will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will have Harvest Home this weekend and accept nonperishable food donations.

There will be blood-pressure checks after the Saturday service and between the Sunday services. The Sunday school hour will include an advent wreath activity. Out to Lunch will be at Serventi’s after the 11 a.m. service.

The stewardship/finance ministry will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The worship and music ministry will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Holden evening prayer will be at 7 p.m.

There will be a BALM meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St.

VALENCIA PREBYTERIAN

Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia, will have its annual congregational meeting at 11 a.m. Sunday in the sanctuary following worship.
