Fall leaves to reach best color in Butler County this week

The autumn leaves in Butler County will reach their most vivid colors of the season this week, according to this week’s Fall Foliage Report from the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

Joining Butler County this week is a large swath of central Pennsylvania, stretching from the western border to the eastern border at Pike County.

According to DCNR, Pennsylvania is one of the perfect places to see fall at its most colorful and varied. Due to its location between 40 and 42 degrees latitude, the state features both southern and northern tree species at the limits of their range.
