Middlesex Twp. park playground closed for renovation
Middlesex Township Community Park, located behind the township’s municipal building on Browns Hill Road, has partially closed to make way for renovation work.
Crews are expanding the parking facilities and adding sidewalks and pedestrian connections between the pavilion, playground and sports courts.
As a result of the renovations, the playground structure has been closed off for the safety of parkgoers.
The park features a playground for children, a multi-sport athletic field, a 0.7-mile walking trail, a basketball court, a tennis court and two pickleball courts. The playground and pavilion were first installed in 2022.
“There’s been ongoing improvements to it,” said township manger Jeffrey Winkle. “We’re trying to finalize what we have out there. We have a very nice playground and the kids love it. We have a beautiful pavilion out there. Now we’re just connecting them and filling in the gaps.”
