Officials identify man killed in Butler Township crash
Officials have identified the man who was killed in a one vehicle crash in Butler Township on Thursday, Oct. 26.
Damian Hall, 27, of Butler, died in a single-vehicle crash on New Castle Road, which was discovered early Thursday morning, Butler Township police said Friday.
The cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma, and the manner of death was determined accidental, according to the coroner’s office.
Dispatchers sent emergency crews to the scene just before 5 a.m. Thursday on the 400 block of New Castle Road. A resident in the area woke up and discovered the crash, according to dispatch.
Police said later Thursday morning the crash occurred sometime overnight when an SUV driven by Hall struck an embankment near the turnaround on New Castle Road. The vehicle went airborne, rolled over and came to rest on the vehicle’s driver’s side, documents showed.
Hall was pronounced dead on scene, according to police. The coroner was dispatched shortly after the crash was reported.
Butler Township police are still investigating the incident. Butler Ambulance Service, Butler Township Volunteer Fire District and VA Butler Fire and Emergency Services also responded to the scene.
