Betty Lou Cammisa

Betty Lou Cammisa, 77, of Butler passed away Thursday evening at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Butler on Aug. 27, 1938, she was a daughter of the late John and Regina Stokes Smith.

She was employed as a secretary at Armco Steel and as a teller at Mellon Bank and Citizens Bank.

She is survived by her husband, Vincent R. “Jim” Cammisa, to whom she was married to for 58 years; three sons, Gary L. Cammisa and his wife, Alma, of Butler, Tom J. Cammisa and his wife, Brenda, of Butler and Scott V. Cammisa and his wife, Erin, of Butler; and two sisters, Bonnie Garrison and her husband, Ed, of Chambersburg and Linda Shatto and her husband, Jim, of Marengo, Iowa.

In addition, she is survived by six grandchildren, Emele, Evan, Chad, Cory, Curtis and Ava Cammisa; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Camden Cammisa.

CAMMISA — Friends of Betty Lou Cammisa, who died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
