Donald Moser

Moser

Donald Franklin Moser, 90, of Forest, Va., died on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, at his home with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Mae Harbison Moser for 68 years.

Born Monday, March 20, 1933, in Cabot, he was a son of the late Alfred Moser and the late Margaret Kelly Moser.

Donald served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was a charter member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. After graduation from Penn Tech, he joined GE as a technical writer and stayed 37 years until he retired.

Donald loved his church, and he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He believed in hard work and instilled that in his children. With his gentle manner he shared his wisdom of wood carving, playing cards and telling good jokes with his 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was happy to let you know he was the family shuffleboard champ.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Beverly Moser Trent (John), Kevin Moser (Lisa), David Moser (Christy), Donald Moser (Lisa) and Keith Moser (Bobbie Jo); a brother, Walter Moser; two sisters, Violet Berz and Sylvia Oyler; a sister-in-law, Peg Moser; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, James Moser, Alfred Moser and Vernon Moser; and a sister, June Parker.
