Harry E. Farrar, 90, of Gibsonia, Pine Township, passed away on Saturday morning, Nov. 11, 2023, at Cranberry Place in Cranberry Township.

Born in Port Royal, Pa., on Aug. 10, 1933, he was the son of the late Rev. James and Ethel Race Farrar.

He had served in the United States Army during peacetime.

Harry graduated from California State Teachers College, now California University of Pennsylvania. He was an industrial arts teacher in the Mt. Oliver and Pine-Richland School districts, teaching a combined 36 years.

He was a member of John E. Mair Lodge 729 F&AM and the Syria Shrine and Consistory and was a 60-year member of the Valencia United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Anna Mae Wray Farrar, whom he married on June 8, 1957; a son, Brett Farrar and his wife, Maureen, of Pine Township; and his grandchildren, Zoe, Luke, Tristan, Graham and Lachlan.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, his twin, Henry, and sisters, Rhoda, Jeanne, Ardyce and Loetta.

FARRAR — Friends of Harry E. Farrar, who died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at United Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia. Please meet at the church.

Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Township.
