Anthony S. 'Tony' Bucholz

Anthony S. “Tony” Bucholz, 75, of Buffalo Township passed away peacefully Thursday in the serenity of his home.

Tony was born on Nov. 14, 1939, in New Kensington, the son of the late Margaret Hrebicek.

He worked as a supervisor at Oberg Industries for 34 years and retired in 2001. Tony worked in many different areas of the tool and die trade. He worked as a surface grinder, assembler and was a supervisor for many years, all for Oberg. Many things that people use in their daily lives are produced by machines that Tony created tooling for.

He enjoyed golfing, reading, gardening, and photography. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and going to all of their activities.

Tony is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna Jean Check Bucholz; their two daughters, Cheryl (James) Farrell of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Laura (James) Stewart of Buffalo Township, and his three grandchildren, Kayla Farrell and Lurena and Addison Stewart.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Frank and Marie Hrebicek, and his three sisters, Dolores Hutchison, Louise Hudson and Grace Oldaker.

Bucholz — Services for Anthony S. “Tony” Bucholz, who passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, were Sunday in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, Freeport, with burial in McVille Union Cemetery in Freeport.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, Cabot, PA 16023.To send a condolence, visit www.redmondfuneralhomeinc.com.
