Rep. Bonner awarded for record defending limited government
Pennsylvania State Rep. Tim Bonner, R-17th, recently received the Charlie Gerow Award from the Washington D.C.-based Institute for Legislative Analysis, for his record on defending limited government.
“I subscribe to the same theory Thomas Jefferson talked about during the founding of our great nation. ‘The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases,’” Bonner said in a news release. “I will continue to work to limit our government’s intrusion into our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.”
Bonner is one of 73 Pennsylvania lawmakers to receive the Charlie Gerow Award, named after the longtime Republican political strategist.
