David T. Buttermore Jr., 63, of Prospect passed away Sunday morning.

He was born June 8, 1949, in Rochester, Pa., and was the son of the late David T. and Henriette Delourmel Buttermore.

Dave was an employee of Herr-Voss for the last 24 years. He was formerly employed at the Herman Corp. for 22 years.

He was a graduate of Riverside High School, and a member of St. John Lutheran Stone Church.

Dave was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War veteran.

He was a devoted family man who enjoyed hunting, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was the beloved husband of 40 years of Susan L. (Werner) Buttermore, who he married July 21, 1973. He also is survived by his loving children, David T. Buttermore III of Prospect, Lori (Dale) Yecko of Cranberry Township and Lonnie (Amanda) Buttermore of Bentleyville, Pa.; four grandchildren, Drew and Shayden Yecko and Mackenzie and Cole Buttermore; his siblings, Suzette (Gary) Plagman of Denver, Colo., Helen Buttermore of Harmony and Roy (Jill) Buttermore of Gypsum, Colo.; his sisters-in-law, Sylvia (Bill) Kendall of Raccoon Township, Pa., Nancy (Frank) Urban of New Brighton, Pa., and Wendy (Rich) Waslo of Rochester, Pa.; his brothers-in-law, Earl (Ruth) Werner of Michigan, Rodney (Arlene) Werner of Ardmore, Pa., Martin (Nancy) Werner of Washington and Ed Tanner of Clintonville, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Rita Tanner.

BUTTERMORE — Visitation for David T. Buttermore Jr., who passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.
