Ruth M. Leopold, 97, of Butler, passed away at Shelbourne Personal Care Home on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023.

Born in 1926, in Tarentum, she was the daughter of the late Anna Catcher and William James Heller.

She was a former executive secretary at Armco, and homemaker. She was a member of Nixon United Methodist Church of Penn Township and later attended Cabot United Methodist Church.

For many years, she volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program. She was happily married for 38 years to her husband, Vaughn E. Leopold, who passed away in 1992.

Survivors include her children, Pamela, Wendy, David and Mary Beth; stepdaughter, Sandy; niece, Lori; granddaughters, Brittany and Amanda; and great-grandchildren, Miles, Adelynn, Hayden, Finley and Barrett.

Her three sisters, Patty, Jeanne and Dorothy; as well as, two brothers, William and Thomas, preceded her in death.

LEOPOLD — Services for Ruth M. Leopold, who died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, will be private. Her ashes are to be interred at Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
