Just over a month before he begins his annual journey to spread holiday joy around the world, Santa Claus is making an early stop in Saxonburg for its annual holiday parade, which takes place Friday night, Nov. 24, on the borough’s Main Street.

According to Saxonburg borough secretary Steven May, the route of the parade will take it straight down Main Street, from the borough’s municipal building to the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.

May said the organizer, the Saxonburg Area Business Association, is expecting between 50 and 100 floats and vehicles to participate in the parade, which will start at 7 p.m.

All of Main Street will be closed to regular traffic for the parade. May advises those who are coming to town for the parade to park at either the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company grounds or near Roebling Park.
