Henry Ford Jordan
Henry Ford Jordan, a resident of Countryside, East Lackawannock Township, Mercer County, passed away at 5:38 p.m. Wednesday at the Sharon Regional Health Center after a short illness. He was 91.
Mr. Jordan was born March 15, 1917, in Upper Hillville, Perry Township, Armstrong County, to Kline and Pearl Seybert Jordan.
He was a graduate of East Brady High School. Henry retired after 35 years from the Witco Chemical Co. in Petrolia.
A World War II veteran, Henry served his country in the Battle of Remagen Bridge in Germany. He served in the 9th Armored Division.
He was married to Anna Levy Jordan for 52 years. They were married Sept. 13, 1947, and she preceded him in death Nov. 20, 1999. He also was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.
Henry was a member of the Mercer United Methodist Church and the Parker Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kittanning and a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Connoquenessing Lodge.
He is survived by his son, Gary Jordan and his wife, Barbara, of Mercer; and his daughter JoAnn King and her husband, Larry, of Tyler, Texas. Henry has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
<B>JORDAN</B> — Visitation for Henry Ford Jordan, who died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday with a funeral at 4 p.m. at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer. The Rev. Eric Leonard, pastor of the Mercer United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Findley Cemetery, Findley Township, Mercer County.
