Connoquenessing School Road is blocked by emergency vehicles Thursday, Nov. 30, as crews work to douse a house fire.

The smell of smoke filled the air and heavy smoke could be seen rolling from the house at 106 Connoquenessing School House Road in Connoquenessing Borough. The fire was reported at just 4 p.m.

According to dispatch, neighbors reported hearing small explosions in the burning building.

Crews from Evans City Area VFD, Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company, Harmony EMS and Butler Township Volunteer Fire District responded to the scene.
