Dayton D. Strawser
Dayton Daniel Strawser, 88, of Chicora, formerly of Irwin, passed away at 2:37 p.m. Wednesday at the Chicora Medical Center.
Born Sept. 8, 1919, in Flintstone, Md., he was the son of the late Louis and Nora Marie Westfall Strawser.
He was a former member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church in Irwin.
Mr. Strawser was a World War II Army veteran and retired as a bus driver with Lincoln Coach.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by two daughters, Karen Bopp of Butler and Denise Bouffard of Hurst, Texas; two sons, Dayton D. Strawser II of Parker and Duane Kelly of Clarion; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Whiteman of New Kensington; and a brother, Charles Strawser of Irwin.
He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
<B>STRAWSER</B> — Friends of Dayton Daniel Strawser, who died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Services will follow at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Milton, of the Slippery Rock Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
