Cranberry Men’s Chorus welcomes Christmas at Dutilh Church
Cranberry Men’s Chorus welcomed Christmas with a “fah who foraze” and a “dah who doraze” Monday, Dec. 4 at a free concert for Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry Township.
“Every year we do a benefit concert for Dutilh Church,” organizer Ron Brooks said. “It’s a free concert, and they do a freewill offering to benefit the church.”
The a cappella chorus opened with “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” classic “Welcome, Christmas” at 7 p.m., followed by more than an hour of holiday music, both secular and sacred.
Brooks said last year’s performance raised around $1,500 for the church.
“People are very giving at these concerts, and it’s a way of us giving back to Dutilh,” Brooks said. “They allow us to rehearse there, and we try to do things to support them as they support us.
“It’s really wonderful.”
