Ardeth J. Gliniecki Herbel

Ardeth J. Gliniecki Herbel, 79, of Zelienople passed away July 19 at her home.

Born Nov. 6, 1936, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late August and Esther Widonya Gliniecki.

Ardy

was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople.

Ardy was known to her friends and family for her exceeding kindness, limitless generosity and unflinching loyalty. She kept her friends for a lifetime, with her beautiful home being the hub for laughter, stories and memories. Ardy was known for her astute sense of fashion and her sense of humor. She had traveled the world with her late husband and her grandchildren, who were an endless source of joy and pride for her. Ardy was a rare combination of profound decency, joyful extravagance and endless fun. Those closest to Ardy know how fortunate they are to have had this extraordinary woman be a part of their life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Herbel, on June 18, 2012; and one brother, Tim Gliniecki.

She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Widener of Salisbury, Conn.; one son, Duane Herbel and his partner, Kevin Christopher, of Baltimore, Md.; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Julian, August and Eli Widener and Graysen Herbel-Christopher.
