Patricia Jean (Rider) Barnhart
Patricia Jean (Rider) Barnhart, 85, of Butler passed away Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born Oct. 27, 1930, in Chicora, to the late George T. Rider and the late Edna I. (Moore) Rider.
Patricia was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler. She attended Chicora High School, graduating in 1948.
Patricia was a homemaker and enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and sitting on her porch while watching birds.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, James B. Barnhart, who she married Sept. 5, 1949; two sons, Terry J. Barnhart and his companion, Charlotte Owens, of Aberdeen, Md., and Kevin M. Barnhart and his wife, Barbara, of Butler; one daughter, Laurie D. Henry of Valencia; three grandchildren, Heather Henry, Brandi Kelley and her husband, Chuck, and Ryan M. Barnhart and his wife, Ginger; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.
