Bruce L. Maihle, 67, of Aliquippa, formerly of Valencia, died Wednesday afternoon at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 27, 1949, he was the son of the late H. Lynn and Genevieve Hill Maihle.

Bruce was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and continued his Air Force career until retiring in 2001. He was the Wing Photographer for the 911th Air Force Wing in Pittsburgh.

He also was a self-employed architectural designer and also worked for CINTAR.

Surviving are his longtime companion, Susan Swegeal; two brothers, Jay Maihle (Tammy) of Valencia and David Maihle (Christine) of Bangor, Pa.; a niece, Rivers Maihle; and two uncles, Gene Maihle (June) of Tucson and Evan Maihle (Carol) of Jersey City, Pa.

MAIHLE — Friends of Bruce L. Maihle, who died Wednesday afternoon, June 14, 2017, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev.
