Eleanor Margaret Bell Ifft
Eleanor Margaret Bell Ifft, 80, of Butler passed away late Saturday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital, following an illness. She was a resident of the YWCA of Butler.
Born May 25, 1936, in Concord Township, she was the daughter of the late Nelson Sylvester and Chloe M. Mershimer Bell. She was Baptist.
Eleanor worked as a cleaning lady for various places, including as a longtime custodian at Slippery Rock University.
She enjoyed being a farmer's wife and loved doing crafts, crocheting, yard sales, gardening and being around kids.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Dean Ifft of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, who she married Jan. 11, 1957; her children, Beverly Fox of Springdale, Robert Ifft of Butler, Gordon Ifft of Springdale, Nancy Ifft of Butler and Roger (Becky) Ifft of Butler; three grandchildren, Richard (Laura Lindgren) Piper, Aaden Ifft and Jacob Ifft; and three great-grandchildren, Shayne Lindgren, Kayden Piper and Trysten Piper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Campbell, and her infant brother.
IFFT — Visitation of Eleanor Margaret Bell Ifft, who died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect, with the Rev. Ben Oesterling, pastor of the Mount Zion Baptist Church, officiating.
