John Rolland Estes
John Rolland Estes, 79, of Toccoa, Ga., formerly of Saxonburg, died at 2:20 p.m. Friday at the Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa.
Born Dec. 7, 1929, in Castle Shannon, he was the son of the late Rolland Estes and the late Marian G. Domb Estes.
Mr. Estes worked for Keystone Resources in Mars, was a dairy farmer and drove a school bus for the Bauman Co.
He was a Protestant.
Mr. Estes is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Jeannine Estes of Toccoa; one granddaughter, Katelyn J. Estes; and one grandson, Johnathan M. Haslup.
Mr. Estes was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Rosella Bole Estes, who passed away June 12, 1999.
<B>ESTES</B> — Friends of John Rolland Estes, who died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and also from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc.</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Maitland of First Baptist Church and the Rev.
