Donna Marie “Mimi” Snyder
Donna Marie “Mimi” Snyder, 76, of Butler passed away peacefully Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Sept. 12, 1939, in Herman to the late Emanuel and Edna Mae (Lowry) Protzman.
Donna graduated from Butler High School in 1957. She worked many years at Citizens National Bank and retired from Verizon Wireless.
Donna was a member of the Christ Community United Methodist Church. She was one of the founders of the Twosomes Group in Butler and was a member of the Eat N Park book club. Donna loved to read, dance, travel and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her three children, Marlys Kupec and her husband, Kenneth, Eric Snyder and Kicky Snyder, all of Butler; her granddaughter, Tabitha Sperring and her husband, Shawn; her grandson, Zak Kupec and his wife, Julie, both of Butler; two great-grandsons, Levi and Caleb; and Dave Ramsey of Zelienople, her companion of 22 years.
Donna also is survived by one sister, Phyllis Dittmer and her husband, Ted, of Butler; one brother, Herbert Protzman and his wife, Meredith, of South Carolina; one sister-in-law, Shirley Protzman of Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, one brother and two nephews.
SNYDER — Friends of Donna Marie “Mimi” Snyder, who died Saturday, March 26, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Gascoine of the Christ Community United Methodist Church officiating.Private burial will take place at the Gruenwald Cemetery.Memorial donations are suggested to the Butler Public Library, 218 N.
