Daniel W. Maurer

Daniel W. Maurer, 49, of Allison Park passed away Tuesday.

Born Oct. 16, 1966, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Frank “Pete” and Anita Volpe Maurer.

Dan was Catholic. He dedicated his entire life to saving lives as a paramedic through his former job at Harmony EMS, where he also served as a board member. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Cherie Rader of Zelienople; his parents, Frank “Pete” and Anita Maurer of Hampton Township; his daughter, Abigail Maurer of Ohio; his stepsons, Jeremy (Michelle) Blinn and Joshua (Alissa) Blinn, both of Zelienople; his stepgrandchildren, Hayden and Gage; his brother, James Maurer of Indianola, Pa.; and his sister, Debra (James) Hepler of New Mexico.

Dan was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffery Maurer.

MAURER — The family of Daniel W. Maurer, who died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, will welcome friends from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. Friday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
