Minteer

Linda Lucille Minteer, 79, of Butler, passed away at her residence early Friday morning, Dec. 15, 2023.

Born March 30, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Homer “Glen” and Charlotte Gibson Stalker.

She graduated from Clarion University with a bachelor of education degree. She began her career in the Moniteau School District teaching elementary education. Later, after raising her children, she returned to her teaching career at Allegheny Valley Schools where she retired in 2013.

Linda enjoyed gardening, baking, quilting and playing bingo; she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Michelle (Tom) Shuler and Martin Minteer, both of Butler; her grandchildren, Brandi (Josh) Reinert of Prospect, Dalton Shuler of Prospect, Kelsey (Kyle Novak) Beachem of Meadville, Mackenzie Shuler of Butler and Colton Beachem of Butler; her four great-grandchildren, Harper, Carter, Hadley and Harlow; son-in-law, Jon Beachem of Boyers; sisters, Donna Fay (Floyd) Tingley and Jane (David) Campbell, all of Stoneboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Minteer, who passed away Nov. 21, 2015; her daughter, Melissa Beachem, who passed away May 6, 2014; and an infant brother, Donald Stalker.

MINTEER — Visitation with a funeral service for Linda Lucille Minteer, who died Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.

A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Lewis officiating.
