A special Vitalant blood drive will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Jan. 2 at Zion Methodist Community Church, 438 Bear Creek Road, Buffalo Township.

The blood drive is to replenish the supply doctors used on Angelo Gehenio, 9, of Buffalo Township. He is a student at Buffalo Elementary School.

Angelo was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia in October. His condition was greatly improved when he received plasma and blood transfusions.
