Eppinger

Robert Joseph Eppinger Jr., 65, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 30, 1958, in Butler, the son of the late Robert J. Eppinger Sr. and Bettylou (Host) Eppinger of Butler.

Bob enjoyed gardening and loved to can his produce. He also enjoyed fishing and tinkering in his garage. He had been a mechanic and bleach mixer for Austin Bleach Co.

Surviving are his mother; his wife of 40 years, Barbara (Reges) Eppinger of Butler; his son, Robert James Eppinger and his fiancée, Lizzy Edinger, of Butler; his two grandchildren, Alex Eppinger and Sara Eppinger; several sisters and brothers-in-law; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

EPPINGER — Friends of Robert Joseph Eppinger Jr., who died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, will be received from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 5 p.m. Wednesday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. His pastor, Matthew Perkins of New Beginnings Free Methodist Church, will officiate.

Private burial will be in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
