South Butler Library seeks $35,000 for community fund drive
Local libraries need financial help from their communities to keep the doors open, and the South Butler Community Library in Saxonburg is no exception. This year, the library is has been working to raise $35,000 as part of its annual community fund drive.
As of Dec. 29, the library has raised $26,413, which is just over 75% of its goal. $10,000 of that amount came from PennEnergy Resources as part of a matching grant.
The library is accepting donations for the next three weeks. Donors can send in their gift online at https://www.mightycause.com/story/Sbclannualcampaign, donate in-person at the library, or mail a check to P.O. Box 454, Saxonburg, PA, 16056.
The South Butler Community Library is one of nine libraries in Butler County’s Federated Library System and serves Saxonburg, along with Winfield, Penn, Jefferson, Buffalo and Clinton Townships. As of the end of September, the library had 7,213 cardholders.
