Shidemantle

Betty J. Shidemantle, 81, of Harmony died Thursday at her home.

Born Feb. 19, 1928, in Middle Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mamie (Schontz) Schott.

Mrs. Shidemantle was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Middle Lancaster, where she assisted with funeral luncheons.

She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. Betty was devoted to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, H. Blaine Shidemantle, whom she married Oct. 28, 1948; her son, Donald B. Shidemantle and his wife, Terri, of Harmony; two grandchildren, Kassandra and Zachary Shidemantle; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Jacks Pollock; and two sisters-in-law, Helen Schott and Doris Schott, both of Harmony.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.

<B>SHIDEMANTLE</B> — Friends of Betty J. Shidemantle, who died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Highway/Route 19, Harmony.
