Dufford

George A. Dufford, 73, of Evans City died Friday at St. John's Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born Feb. 28, 1934, in Butler, he was the son of Clarence Dufford and Alice Flemm Dufford.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on vehicles and mowing the lawn.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret J. "Peg" Dufford, who he married March 18, 1957; two daughters, Diane M. Schardt and her husband, Kevin, of Athens, Ga. and Denise M. McSorley and her husband, Robert, of Scarborough, Maine; three sons, Dayne A. Dufford and his wife, Christine, of Mechanicsburg, Duane A. Dufford and his wife, Laurie, of Mars and Daryle A. Dufford and his wife, Lynn, of Evans City; eight grandchildren, Erik and Lindsey Schardt, Angela Dufford, Vanessa and Jacob Dufford, and Hugh, Hayden and Heath McSorley; four brothers; four sisters, and his favorite companion, Star.

He was preceded in death by a sister.
