James Blair Laconi, 60, of Barstow, Calif., died Wednesday at Desert Knoll Hospital in Barstow.

Born July 24, 1949, he was the son of the late George B. and Marjorie A. Laconi of Butler.

He was a graduate of Butler High School, where he played football and basketball.

Mr. Laconi was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church.

Jimmy, as his family and friends know him, was an avid sports fan and reader and lived to give you a good laugh. He will be greatly and sadly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by two sisters, Joyce (Laconi) and Bill Johnson of Edgewater, Fla., and Eloise (Laconi) and Casimer Janeczvo of Adena, Ohio; two nieces; two nephews; two great-nieces; and a great-nephew.
