Grace E. Buck

Grace E. Buck, 80, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Hilliards, died Wednesday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Hilliards, Aug. 6, 1926, she was the daughter of Arthur D. and Elizabeth J. Hovis Mabbott.

She was a lifelong member of the Ridgeville United Methodist Church and belonged to the United Methodist Women. She was a former member of the Valley Dam and Sportsmen and Snowmobile Association at Ridgeville.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Cathy) Barkley of Ridgeville and Mrs. Fred (Lorrie) Roxberry of Slippery Rock; a son, Charles G. "Chuck" Buck of Chicora; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Arthur D. Mabbott Jr. of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Kenneth E. Mabbott of Fort Worth, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Paul S. Buck Sr., whom she married April 28, 1950, died Aug. 24, 1981. She also was preceded in death by a son, Paul S. Buck Jr., and a brother.

<B>BUCK </B>— Friends of Grace E. Buck, who died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Main Street/Route 38, Eau Claire. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home with Rev. Sherry Cook, United Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Rosewood Cemetery, Ridgeville.
