Richard Robinson

Richard “Dick” William Robinson, 71, of Fellowship Manor, Grove City, and formerly of Pine Township, Grove City, passed away at his home at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Dick was born in Slippery Rock Township on Jan. 10, 1944, to Harry Edward Robinson and Stella Lorena Kelly Robinson.

He was a Protestant and a U.S. Army veteran.

He had retired from the custodial department at Slippery Rock University in 2009 and before that had worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing horseshoes.

He is survived by three brothers, Laurie H. Robinson and his wife, Susan of Florence, S.C., Gary E. Robinson of Grove City and Randy L. Robinson of New Castle; several nieces and nephews; his special friend, Janice Cornelius of Slippery Rock; and wonderful caregiver, Faye Klingensmith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ronald D. and Melvin G. Robinson; and two sisters, Janet Robinson Seelbaugh and Rose I. Robinson.

ROBINSON — The family of Richard “Dick” William Robinson, who died Saturday, May 9, 2015, will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Immediately following the service, interment with full military honors will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery, Worth Township, Butler County.
