Shirley R. (Weber) Lunz
Shirley R. (Weber) Lunz, 88, of Cranberry Township passed away Monday while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Born Sept. 12, 1923, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Prentice) Weber.
Shirley was one of the founding members of St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church in Cranberry Township, where she was an active member of the Comfort Blanket Ministry, the Funeral Luncheon Committee, a member of the church royal court, a former president of the Cordova Women's Club and former chairman of the Christmas Bizarre. In addition, she was a member of the Cranberry Township Senior Center.
She is survived by four loving children, Lynn Salem and her husband, Robert, of Columbus, Ohio, Suzan Lunz of Columbus, Ohio, Christine Posey of Cranberry Township and Jack Lunz and his wife, Patty, of Ocala, Fla.; her sister, Gloria Ewing of South Carolina; her brother-in-law, Robert Lunz and his wife, Cathy, of the North Hills; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack H. Lunz, who passed away on Aug. 2, 1993, and her sister, Phyllis Mager.
