Western Pennsylvania Salvation Army receives $40,000 grant from Bayer
The Western Pennsylvania branch of the Salvation Army has recently received a $40,000 grant from the Bayer Fund, the charitable giving arm of the medicine company Bayer.
This grant will support the Feeding Families for Life initiative, which aims to ensure that fresh produce and healthy food is available through the Salvation Army’s feeding programs.
“Programs like The Salvation Army’s Feeding Families for Life initiative help combat the critical issue of food insecurity, and we’re proud to play a role with helping even more people in our community have access to healthy, nutritious food,” said Al Mitchell, president of Bayer Fund.
