Robert Weber

Robert S. Weber, 71, of Herman died Tuesday night at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Butler, Aug. 16, 1940, a son of the late Base and Mary Nussbaumer Weber.

Bob retired from the International Staple and Machine Co. in East Butler in 2003 following 30 years employment. He was a master woodworker and a very mechanically gifted person. He was an expert at automotive bodywork and painting as well as engine repair. An outdoor sportsman, he especially enjoyed fishing. He loved being with his family at gatherings, picnics and meals, and enjoying his grandchildren.

He was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Linda Osche Weber. They married Aug. 14, 1965. Also surviving are three children and their spouses, Brenda M. Weber of Herman, Eric and Louisa Weber of Butler and Randy and Georgeann Weber of Prospect; six grandchildren, Austin, Brianna and Merissa Stivason, Dylan and Mason Weber and Tyler Phillips.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

<B>WEBER</B> — Friends of Robert S. Weber, who died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Cremation will follow.The St. Paul’s Catholic Women will recite the rosary at 9:40 a.m. Saturday at the church.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
