Marcia A. Barton

Marcia Ann Barton, 71, of Slippery Rock Township, formerly of Avalon in Allegheny County, died at 12:40 a.m. Monday at the Grove Manor Nursing and Personal Care Home, Grove City.

Born in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, March 25, 1936, she was the daughter of Peter Alexander and Anna Steele Duncan.

She was a homemaker and had worked part time as a dispatcher for the Avalon Police Department.

Mrs. Barton was a Protestant.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafts, knitting and cross stitch, and she was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles.

Surviving are her husband, Robert James Barton, whom she married Oct. 28, 1955; two daughters, Cheryl A. Reagan of Grove City and Lori J. Lux and her husband, Mark, of Slippery Rock; a son, James A. Barton and his wife, Lisa, of Avalon; and five grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Patrick, Nicole and Tyler. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren.

<B>BARTON </B>— The family of Marcia Ann Barton, who died Monday, July 9, 2007, will hold a private service later. Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, Slippery Rock.Contributions may be given specifically to the Christian Loving Fund of Grove Manor, in memory of Marcia A. Barton, and mailed to Grove Manor Personal Care & Nursing Home, Attn. Administrator, 435 N. Broad St., Grove City, PA 16127.
