Stiehler

Kathryn A. Stiehler, 65, of Karns City passed away at 7:45 p.m. Saturday at the Chicora Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 1, 1943, in Butler. She was the daughter of the late Merle K. "Chick" Litzenberg and the late Grace L. Burkett Litzenberg.

She was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church.

She was a secretary for the Moniteau School District for 13 years. She was the secretary in the guidance office at Karns City until her illness.

She is survived by her husband, John H. Stiehler, whom she married Sept. 5, 1975; one daughter and her husband, Shana Leeanne Whitmer and Brian Whitmer of West Sunbury; one granddaughter, Domenique Stiehler; one grandson, Darren Stiehler; one sister, Verlee Litzenberg of California; one brother, Keith Litzenberg of Hooker; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Shelley J. Stiehler, who died Aug. 2, 1981.

<B>STIEHLER</B>— Friends of Kathryn A. Stiehler, who died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Bell of the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Cancer Research at UPMC Cancer Pavilion, Suite 1B, 5150 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa 15232.
