Vivian C. King
Vivian C. (Wonderly) Swartzlander King, 77, of Butler passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 4, 1946, in Butler, and was the daughter to the late Vance and Daisy (Lewis) Wonderly.
Vivian was a homemaker. She was a cook at Lowry House and a baker at Dunkin’ Donuts. Vivian enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, doing crafts, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, baking, good movies and playing cards. She was a member of Faith Fellowship.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Lee (Hattie) Swartzlander of Butler and Ronald Swartzlander of Harrisville; one stepson, Gary King Jr.; one daughter, Tammy Jo King; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Vance G. (Emily) Wonderly Jr. of Ohio; one brother-in-law, James Grossman Sr. of Greensburg; two sisters, Beatrice Welch of Butler and Carol Bohr of Youngstown, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Swartzlander Sr.; her son, Robert John Swartzlander; and three sisters.
KING — Visitation for Vivian C. (Wonderly) Swartzlander King, who died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Jenks of Faith Fellowship officiating.
