Johnston

Carolyn F. Johnston, 82, of Lancaster Township, passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, while under the care of Concordia at the Villa St. Joseph in Baden.

Born Oct. 4, 1941 in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Bergman and Lydia Davis Bergman.

Carolyn was a member of Grace Church of Harmony. She was employed for 37 years as a registered nurse, retiring from Allegheny General Hospital. Carolyn enjoyed going to Passavant Community to play dominoes. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family.

Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Barbara (Donald) Druschel of Harmony and David (Angelette) Johnston of Center Township; her grandchildren, Danny (Ariel) Druschel, Amber (Shawn) Thomas, Bethany (Bryan) Curzi, Jacob (Kristen) Johnston and Matthew Johnston; her great-grandchildren, Kylie, Tyler and Micah Curzi, Gwendolyn and Scarlett Johnston, Drew Johnston, Hailee Druschel and Ella Thomas; her sister, Nancy Momeyer of Harrisburg; and her sister-in-law, Candy Glenz of Fort Myers, Fla.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Robert Johnston, whom she married on May 13, 1961, and who passed away on Sept. 21, 2018; and her son, Daniel R. Johnston.

JOHNSTON — A funeral service for Carolyn F. Johnston, who died Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Church of Harmony, 538 Main St., Harmony, with the Rev. Peter J. Everett officiating.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Grace Church Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
