Marjorie “Marge” Alain McCool
Marjorie “Marge” Alain McCool, 93, of Butler, formerly of Prospect, passed away Wednesday after an extended illness at her home surrounded by her family.
Marge was born July 7, 1922, in Forward Township, to the late Walter E. and Martha M. Neel Rice.
Marge was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was proud of each and every one of them.
She was employed by REMA Manufacturing for 33 years, before retiring in 2005.
Marge is survived by five sons, Jeffery L. McCool and his wife, Marion, of Union City, Guy Douglas McCool and his wife, Linda, of Prospect, Brad F. McCool of Evans City, Mitchell R. McCool and his wife, Nancy, of Renfrew and Kirk E. McCool and his wife, Sharon, of Evans City; one brother, William J. Rice and his wife, Ann, of Evans City; one sister, Madelynn Shaffer and her husband, Harry, of Evans City; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by her former husband, George “Jake” F. McCool; her daughter, Helen McCool Farinelli; and one great-grandson.
