Marjorie G. Kennedy, 86, of Cabot passed away Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 19, 1924, in Shenango Township, Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Scott W. and Mary Jane McClymonds Guy.

She was a 1947 graduate of Indiana (Pa.) Teachers College.

She had been a home economics teacher at Winfield High School until 1954. She then worked in the dietary department at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Marjorie was a member of the Cabot United Methodist Church, where she had been organist for many years. She also was a member of the Jefferson Grange, the Butler Home Economists Club and the Butler County Historical Society.

She enjoyed quilting, flowers and reading.

Surviving are two sons, David Kennedy of Cabot and Roger (Lori) Kennedy of Butler; her brother, Wallace (Jean) Guy of New Castle; her sister, Elinor (Harold) Robison of New Castle; eight grandchildren, Matt (Megan) Kennedy, Kelly Kennedy, Jessica, Anne, Andrew, Hannah, Abigail and Corrie; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Eugene Kennedy, on March 4, 2010; one son, Mark Kennedy; and one sister, Ida Miller.

<B>KENNEDY</B> — Friends of Marjorie G. Kennedy, who died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, Saxonburg. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Cabot United Methodist Church with Rev. Matthew Judd officiating. Interment will follow in Sarversville Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Cabot United Methodist Church Building Fund.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
