Helen Mae McClymonds Stickle, 83, of Worth Township died early Tuesday on Route 19 in Muddy Creek Township.

Born in Muddy Creek Township, Dec. 9, 1924, she was the daughter of Carl Hamilton McClymonds and Martha Clara Barkley McClymonds.

She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church of Worth Township and formerly served as secretary of the Zion Baptist Cemetery Association.

Until recently, she was a desk clerk for the Evening Star Motel in Worth Township. Prior to that, she had been a receptionist for Portersville Stainless Equipment from 1954 to 1969.

She was enthusiastic about gardening and working with flowers.

Her husband, Charles Edwin Stickle, who she married June 1, 1963, died Dec, 18, 1989.

Surviving are a sister, Ruth E. Kuntz of Ellwood City; a sister-in-law, Opal McClymonds of Prospect; a niece, Betty Jean Platt and her husband, Richard, of Rockaway, N.J.; a nephew, David G. Kuntz and his wife, Kathy, of Ellwood City; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

<B>STICKLE </B>— Friends of Helen Mae McClymonds Stickle, who died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will follow at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Meling, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the Zion Baptist Cemetery, Worth Township.Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Baptist Church, 148 Curry Road, Slippery Rock, PA 16057.
